Vim
MERTENS , a well-known composer, kauntertener vocalist, pianist ,
guitarist and Musicologist from Belgium, will perform in Bangkok on
October 31 to market long - standing Thai - Belgian relations.
This
year marks the 145th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and the
130 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two
countries. Hosted
by the Belgian Embassy , the concert will take place at the Music Hall
in tshulalongkorn university 's arts and cultural education .
MERTENS began composing music in 1980 and has since earned a name as an international recording and performing artist.
He
performed regularly as a soloist as well as with its ensemble across
Europe, as well as in North and Central America , Japan and Russia .
The
artist plays the piano as well as classical guitar and sings with a
kerakteristikli high - pitched voice using a carefully crafted personal
language.
He
has released more than 50 albums featuring such popular numbers as "
struggle for Pleasure ", " Close Cover ", "4 Mains ", "their duet " and "
maximising the audience ."
